Small Change

Comes on vinyl LP.

Step into the world of Tom Waits’ “Small Change,” a gritty and intoxicating journey through the smoky dives and dimly lit streets of a bygone era. Released in 1976, this landmark album captures Waits at his rawest and most evocative, delivering a collection of songs that are equal parts poignant ballads and raucous blues. With his gravelly voice and masterful storytelling, Waits invites listeners into a world populated by drifters, dreamers, and the broken-hearted. From the mournful strains of “Tom Traubert’s Blues (Four Sheets to the Wind in Copenhagen)” to the swaggering bravado of “Step Right Up,” each track on “Small Change” paints a vivid portrait of life on the fringes of society.

“Small Change” is more than just an album—it’s a cinematic experience, a journey through the seedy underbelly of American life set to the soundtrack of Waits’ unmistakable growl. From the tender ballads to the rollicking blues, each song is a testament to the power of music to transport us to another time and place.
