Machina/The Machines of God

Comes on Red/Black 2LP vinyl.

Released in 2025 to celebrate the 25th anniversary of The Smashing Pumpkins’ pivotal 2000 album, this 2LP vinyl reissue of Machina – The Machines of God presents the original sixteen-track album, now newly remixed and remastered for unparalleled fidelity.

Often regarded as Billy Corgan’s conceptual “swan song” for the band’s initial run, Machina saw the Pumpkins return to their signature arena-sized blend of heavy guitars, atmospheric textures, and ornate arrangements, following the more electronic-leaning sound of Adore. The album explores the concept of a rock star who goes mad and adopts the persona of a messianic figure named Glass, reflecting on themes of celebrity, redemption, and spirituality.

The 25th-anniversary vinyl breathes new life into this ambitious work, showcasing the sonic depth and complexity of tracks like the powerful lead single “The Everlasting Gaze,” the melodic introspection of “Stand Inside Your Love,” and the dynamic masterpiece “Glass and the Ghost Children.”

A welcome addition for vinyl collectors, this edition features the classic album pressed on 180-gram vinyl and includes the track “Speed Kills,” which was only included on select international versions of the original album.
