The Sundays – Reading, Writing and Arithmetic Step into the shimmering, ethereal world of Reading, Writing and Arithmetic, the iconic debut album by The Sundays. Released in 1990, this masterpiece is a sublime blend of jangly guitars, poetic lyricism, and Harriet Wheeler’s unmistakably haunting vocals. Each track is infused with a bittersweet melancholy, capturing a sense of yearning and introspection that defined the indie pop sound of the era.

From the wistful charm of “Here’s Where the Story Ends” to the dreamy escapism of “You’re Not the Only One I Know,” every song feels like a journey into a diary of heartfelt confessions. The lush, melodic soundscapes are as vibrant as the emotions they convey, making this album a timeless treasure.

Perfect for fans of reflective, guitar-driven music, Reading, Writing and Arithmetic remains a seminal work that continues to resonate with listeners decades later. Whether you’re discovering it for the first time or revisiting a cherished favorite, this album is a must-have addition to any vinyl collection.
