About this record
Comes on vinyl LP.
Dude Ranch, the second studio album by Blink-182, released in 1997, marks the beginning of the band’s rise to fame and sets the stage for their iconic blend of fast-paced punk rock, youthful irreverence, and catchy melodies. The album is raw, energetic, and brimming with the brash humor that would come to define Blink-182’s style. With its sharp, rebellious sound and candid lyrics about growing up, relationships, and the frustrations of adolescence, Dude Ranch captures the essence of ’90s pop-punk.
Produced by Mark Trombino, Dude Ranch features the band’s original lineup—Mark Hoppus, Tom DeLonge, and Scott Raynor—delivering a fast-paced collection of songs that mix punk aggression with accessible hooks. Tracks like “Dammit” (a standout single), “Josie,” and “Enthused” feature infectious choruses and rapid-fire drumming, while lyrics like “I guess this is growing up” from “Dammit” became emblematic of the band’s early ethos.
